Sustainability

As Ireland's national regulated water utility, we are responsible for the delivery of secure, safe, and sustainable water services for the people of Ireland. Our vision is a sustainable Ireland where water is respected and protected, for the planet and all the lives it supports.

Uisce Éireann is rising to the challenge of climate change by protecting and enhancing water resources, reducing our environmental footprint, and supporting climate resilience. Every day we work towards minimising water leakage and improving water efficiency across networks, investing in low-carbon and energy-efficient infrastructure, and transitioning to renewable energy sources. Supporting biodiversity, enhancing catchment management, and promoting sustainable water use among our customers and stakeholders are also critical to us.
