Clogga Cross to benefit from Uisce Éireann’s continued investment in Leakage Reduction Programme
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann is commencing a water main replacement project in Clogga Cross, which will see over 2km of decades-old cast iron pipes replaced with new modern pipes.
This upgrade will significantly improve water quality, reduce leakage, and ensure a more reliable supply for the local community.
The works will take place between Clogga Cross and Tubrid Reservoir and are scheduled to commence next week.
Programme Manager at Uisce Éireann, Dave Murphy, said: “We’re pleased to begin this important upgrade in Clogga Cross, where the existing water mains require replacement. By investing in modern infrastructure, we’re not only improving the reliability and quality of the water supply but also helping to reduce leakage and strengthen the network for future generations. We appreciate the patience and support of the local community as we carry out these essential works.”
The project will be delivered by Shareridge on behalf of Uisce Éireann and is expected to be completed later this year.
The works may involve some short-term water interruptions, and the project team will ensure that customers are given a minimum of 48 hours’ notice prior to any planned water interruptions.
Details of any supply interruptions associated with this project will be updated regularly on the Water Supply Updates section of the Uisce Éireann website. Customers can phone Uisce Éireann on 1800 278 278 with any questions about the project.
