Crews are aware of burst main impacting supply on Circular Road

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann is aware of a burst water main on Circular Road in Galway City which is affecting supply to approximately 300 properties in the area.

The burst is impacting supply to the following areas:

  • Circular Road
  • The Heath
  • Cúirt Chéirín
  • Hy Brasil
  • The Bailey
  • Fána Buí
  • Barnacranny, Bushypark

Due to the ongoing orange weather warning for high winds issued by Met Éireann for Storm Amy, the burst on the main will not be repaired until it is safe to do so.

Once it is safe to do so, Uisce Éireann will deploy repair crews to isolate and repair the burst main and restore normal supply for affected customers.

Leo O’Shea of Uisce Éireann said that the safety of staff, contractors and the general public is Uisce Éireann’s primary concern.

“We acknowledge the impact of an unplanned outage and we will deploy crews to repair this burst main as soon as it is safe to do so,” said Leo.
