Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann crews are responding to a burst on a trunk main on the Monivea Road at Carnmore, Co Galway which is impacting supply to homes and businesses in the area.
The outage is affecting areas served by the Ballydavid Reservoir, including parts of Athenry. A number of Group Water Schemes have also been affected by the outage, including the Castlelambert, Carraun/Castle Ellen, Grange, Carnmore no.3, Cartymore, Casla Nos.1 & 2, and Moorpark Nos.1 & 2 schemes.
Crews have been mobilised to the site to isolate and repair the burst and it is estimated that repairs will be complete by 8pm this evening (Tuesday).
Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
Uisce Éireann’s Ger Greally said crews will work as quickly as possible to repair the burst and restore normal supply for affected customers.
“We acknowledge the impact of unplanned outages on homes and businesses, and we want to thank affected customers for their patience while these repair works are being carried out,” said Ger.
