Crews are working to restore water supply to customers in Ballysadare
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann crews are working to return water supply to homes and businesses in Ballysadare today following a burst on a water main in the middle of the town.
As a result of this burst, customers near SuperValu in Ballysadare, Fairgreen Square, Youngs Road, Union Walk, and surrounding areas may be impacted by supply disruptions until repairs are completed.
In order to prioritise the safety of crews, road users, and the general public while traffic volumes are high during the day, repairs works will get underway this evening when a traffic management plan will be in place.
Uisce Éireann crews are on site and are working to reconfigure the network to minimise the impact on customers over the course of the day.
Kevin Love, Uisce Éireann, said: “We understand the inconvenience this is causing, and our teams are working to restore the water supply as quickly possible. The location of this burst, close to SuperValu in the town, is very busy with traffic and pedestrians during peak hours which is why our repair works will take place this evening to minimise disruption as much as possible. Once normal operations are restored, it will take three to four hours for the network to refill and normal supply to return to all customers.”
