Crews working to restore supply to Tower, Blarney and Ballincollig

06 September 2026

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Customers in parts of Tower, Blarney and Ballincollig are experiencing a disruption to their water supply this morning following a burst to a large watermain close to Cannon’s Cross.

Work is underway to reroute supplies from other areas to ensure as many customers have their water supply restored as soon as possible, while we carry out work to repair the burst. This means normal supply is expected to return for the majority of customers by 1pm today.

We know how disruptive it is to be without water, particularly for families, businesses and vulnerable customers, and we want to assure the community that every effort is being made to return supplies as quickly and safely as possible.

Providing an update, Michael Bell, of Uisce Éireann, said:
“We understand how disruptive outages are on this community. Our crews have been working to resolve the issue and restore water to as many people as quickly as possible. We really appreciate the patience and understanding shown by customers while these works are being carried out.”

For ongoing updates, customers are encouraged to visit the Water Supply and Services section of the Uisce Éireann website.
