Crews working to restore water supply to customers in Castlemaine and Currans

Customers in the Castlemaine and Currans areas of Kerry may be experiencing water outages due to a burst main.
Uisce Éireann crews are on site carrying out repairs. It is estimated that repairs will be completed by 10pm this evening.
The following areas are affected in the Castlemaine area: Knockaneacoolteen, Ballyfinnane, Ballygamboon, Breashagh, Ballynamona, Kiltallagh, Castlemaine, Ardcanaght, Brackhill, Cloonmore, Rathpoge East, Ballymacandy, Rusheen, Mounthenry, Rathmore, Rathbeg.
The following areas are affected in the Currans area: Riverville, Urrohogal, Meanus, Kilfallinga, Currans village, Springmount, Coolnacalliagh.
Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to be restored to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
