Uisce Éireann crews are on the ground in County Galway working to restore normal water supply to customers supplied by Dunmore/Glenamaddy Public Water Supply Scheme.
As a result of Storm Amy and the recent heavy rain, a production issue has arisen at the water treatment plant resulting in the deterioration of water quality.
Customers in the following areas including Boyounagh/Ballyedmond, Brookloon, Cloonkeen, Garrafrauns, Grange and Cathill may experience no water or very low pressure today and tomorrow, Sunday 5 October.
Uisce Éireann’s Ger Greally said: “Expert crews have been deployed and are working to resolve the issue as quickly and as safely as possible. Once normal production has returned it may take some time for normal water supply to be restored. We thank the local community for their patience as we carry out these essential repair works”.
