Essential overnight restrictions required for customers in Ardfinnan to safeguard daytime supply

Uisce Éireann is introducing overnight restrictions for customers supplied by the Ardfinnan Water Treatment Plant in an effort to safeguard daytime supplies.

The restrictions are necessary as a result of low reservoir levels at the plant.

The restrictions will be in place from 10pm until 7am, starting tonight Friday August 22 and will continue on Saturday August 23 for customers in Knockballiniry, Lodge, Poulatar, Croughta, Carrow, Newcastle, Clashganny East, Molughabbey, Garrancasey, Graigue, Bohernagore West, Kilballyboy, Ballybacon, Ladysabbey, and surrounding areas.

Restrictions will also be in place from 10pm until 7am on Saturday August 23 and will continue on Sunday August 24 for customers in Magherareagh, Shortcastle, Ballydrinan, Roosca, Ballybrada, Kilcommon South and the surrounding areas.
Pierce Faherty, Uisce Éireann Water Operations Manager in Tipperary has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore supply to normal levels. “We understand the impact of overnight restrictions, but these measures are necessary to ensure continuous daytime supply for homes and businesses. Uisce Éireann crews have repaired several leaks on the network recently but reservoir levels remain low. Demand remains high across the network so we’d like to appeal to customers to conserve water where possible.” said Pierce.
