Planned outage for customers in Delgany

Uisce Éireann wishes to advise of a planned water outage which may impact customers parts of Delgany. The outage is necessary to facilitate essential works to the water network in the area. The works will take place from 1pm to 6pm on Monday, 17 November, and may result in supply disruptions for customers in Kindlestown Lower, Delgany Wood, Bellevue, Wendon Park, Churchland, along Convent Road and Chapel Road and surrounding areas in Delgany. 

Uisce Éireann’s Sineád Kennedy said, “We understand the inconvenience caused by an interruption to supply. Every effort will be made to limit the impact of these essential works, and we would like to thank the community in advance for their patience and co-operation.” 

Typically, it takes two to three hours following an outage for normal supply to restore to all customers. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.  When water supply returns some customers may notice discoloured water.  In the event of discolouration, running the cold kitchen tap for several minutes - we recommend up to 20 minutes - will usually restore the water to a clear colour.
