Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann wishes to advise of a planned water outage which may impact customers supplied by the Goatenbridge Water Treatment Plant.
The outage is necessary to facilitate essential upgrade works of the Goatenbridge Water Treatment Plant and to repair leaks on the plant’s outlet trunk main.
Customers in Goatenbridge, Poulatar, Newcastle, Ballybacon, Grange, Ardfinnan, Ballyea, Roosca, Kilcommon, Jamestown, Marlfield, Neddens, Loughryan, Loughlher, Loughtally, Derrygrath, Newchappel, Rathkeevin, Inishlounaght, Nicholastown, Knocklofty, Grauige Group Water Scheme Castlegrace and the surrounding areas may experience some disruption to their supply on Thursday, 6 November from 7am to 6pm.
Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty said: “We understand the inconvenience caused by an interruption to supply. Every effort will be made to limit the impact of these essential works, and we would like to thank the community in advance for their patience and co-operation.
“Following the completion of the works, it can take two to three hours for normal water supply to return to customers as water refills the network, particularly for those properties on higher ground or at the end of the network.”
