Planned outage in Slane to facilitate essential maintenance work

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann wishes to advise of a planned water outage which will impact customers in Slane and surrounding areas. The outage is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works at Slane Water Treatment Plant.

Customers in Slane, Beauparc, Stackallen, Knockmooney, Navan Road and surrounding areas may be impacted by supply disruption, reduced water pressure and discolouration on Monday, 28 July from 9am to 9pm.

Uisce Éireann’s Michael Cunniffe said, “We understand the inconvenience caused by an interruption to supply. Every effort will be made to limit the impact of these essential works, and we would like to thank the community in advance for their patience and co-operation. Following the completion of the works, it can take two to three hours for the normal water supply to return as water refills the network, particularly for those properties on high ground or at the end of the network.”

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

Uisce Éireann’s customer care team is available 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on X @IWCare with any queries. For further updates, visit the service and supply section of www.water.ie
