Planned outage in Tuam Road area tonight
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann is advising customers in the Tuam Road area of Galway City of a planned outage which will take place tonight (Tuesday) from 8pm until 5am on Wednesday morning.
This is to facilitate essential repairs to a burst water main in the area.
The outage will impact Uisce Éireann customers in Riverside, Ashbrook and surrounding areas of the Tuam Road.
Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by a planned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
Leo O’Shea of Uisce Éireann said that this outage is necessary to allow essential repair works to a burst water main.
“We understand the inconvenience of an outage for our customers, and we thank those impacted for their co-operation while these essential repairs are carried out,” said Leo.
