Uisce Éireann is advising customers in the Turlough area of Castlebar of an emergency planned outage which is due to come into effect this evening (Wednesday) from 5.30pm.
This planned outage is to facilitate essential repairs to a burst water main along the old Turlough Road, Castlebar. The outage will impact approximately 300 homes on the old Turlough Road and in Turlough Village.
Crews will deploy to site this evening in order to isolate and repair the burst and restore normal supply.
Colette Scahill of Uisce Éireann said the planned outage is necessary in order to successfully find and repair the burst main.
“We acknowledge the disruption that can be caused by a planned outage and we wish to thank impacted customers in advance for their understanding while crews work to restore normal supply,” said Colette.
