Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Water production has resumed at the Inniscarra Water Treatment Plant, and supply is being restored to customers in Ballincollig and surrounding areas who may have experienced low pressure or outages earlier today.
Operations at the plant were temporarily suspended overnight due to technical issues affecting reservoir levels. As a result, water services may have been impacted in Ballincollig, Dripsey, Coachford and environs.
It can take 2-3 hours for the normal water supply to return as water refills the network and even longer for customers at the end of the line. Customers are being asked to be mindful of their water usage to allow supply to catch up with demand.
Uisce Éireann’s Duane O’Brien said: “We appreciate the patience of affected residents and businesses as our teams worked to resolve the issue and restore normal service."
