Water supply returning for customers in Esker, Longford
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann has restored normal water supply to homes and businesses in Esker, Co. Longford after a burst water main caused an interruption to supply in the area recently.
Following repair works, it typically takes three to four hours for the regular supply to be fully restored to all areas as the water refills the network, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.
Uisce Éireann’s Operations Manager, David Gibbons said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding while crews worked to restore supply to impacted areas.”
Homes and businesses in the affected areas may experience reduced water pressure, temporary water discolouration or intermittent disruptions to the water supply as the network recharges.
Vulnerable customers registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
Our customer care helpline is open 24/7 at 1800 278 278, and customers can also contact us on Twitter @IWCare with any queries. For updates, please see our website's water supply and services section.
