Uisce Éireann crews are working to resolve a disruption to the water supply from Lettermacaward Water Treatment Plant.
Customers in Lettermacaward, Dooey, Doochary, Gortnasillagh, Drumlaghdrid, Maas, Portnoo, Rainey, and surrounding areas are experiencing a disruption to their supply this afternoon.
Uisce Éireann’s Adrian Gillespie assured those affected that a team is working at the plant to resolve the issue and restore a normal water supply as soon as possible.
“Our crews are on site and are working to resolve the issue. We will keep customers updated throughout the afternoon as the repairs progress."
In the meantime, an alternative water supply is available for affected customers at Chapel Carpark in Lettermacaward. Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from the tankers, and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
