Water supply returning to customers in Templetney following repairs
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Water supply is returning to Uisce Éireann customers in Templetney following repairs to a burst water main in Killusty.
Uisce Éireann crews have completed repairs to the water main, and supply is now returning to all customers over the course of this evening.
Separately some customers may experience low water pressure following an interruption to the local Templetney Water Treatment Plant which was repaired this morning. Supply is expected to be restored as reservoir levels increase.
Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty said: “We understand the disruption an unplanned outage like this can cause and would like to thank customers for their patience while crews worked to repair the burst.”
Typically, it takes three to four hours following repairs for normal supply to be restored to all affected customers. However, it may take longer for customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours. Our customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278, and customers can also contact us on X @IWCare with any queries.
