Uisce Éireann crews are working to repair a significant burst on the trunk distribution main at Croithlí Water Treatment Plant tonight.
As a result of this burst, customers in Croithlí, Rann na Feirste, Anagaire, Kerrytown, An Mullach Dubh, Mín Beannaid and surrounding areas may experience supply disruption. Crews are on site and repairs works are underway.
Repairs are due to be complete by 2am tomorrow morning (Wednesday). Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network as the system recharges.
Damien O’Sullivan of Uisce Éireann said that crews will work as quickly as possible to repair the burst main and restore supply to normal levels.
“We acknowledge the impact of an unplanned outage, and we want to thank affected customers for their patience while we work to restore supply,” said Damien.
