We're working to restore supply in Westport

Crews are working to restore water supply to parts of Westport following damage to a valve.

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Customers on the Newport Road, James Street, Carrowholly, Attireech, The Crescent and surrounding areas will experience a disruption to their supply this evening while emergency valve replacement works are carried out.

Uisce Éireann’s Ronan McDonnell assured those affected that a team is on site and working to restore a normal water supply as soon as possible.
“It’s expected to have repairs complete later tonight. Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, as the system recharges it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.
“We thank our customers for their patience while we carry out these emergency works.”
