Previous Updates
Uisce Éireann is working to restore normal water supply to customers in Clonmel supplied by the Poulavanogue Water Treatment Plant. Heavy rainfall lead to a deterioration in raw water quality causing the plant to shut down. Crews are on site and are working to restore operations at the plant as soon as possible.
The interruption will result in supply disruption for customers supplied by the Poulavanogue water treatment plant on Mountain Road, Old Spa Road, Gas House Bridge, Town Centre, Davis Road, Raheen, Waterford Road and surrounding areas.
Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore a full water supply as quickly as possible. “We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while our works continue.”
Supply is expected to be restored by 9pm tonight, Tuesday, 11 November.
Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
