How to make a submission
You can review the consultation documents and make a submission online, by email or by post. Responses are not limited to the consultation questions. You are welcome to provide any other observations or suggestions that may assist in developing the National Wastewater and Drainage Plan (NWWDP).

Submissions must be received by midnight on 17 December 2026.
Public webinar
We are engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, and we will also host a public webinar on 16th November 2026.

What happens next
Following the consultation, Uisce Éireann will review and consider all feedback received. Submissions from individuals will be reported anonymously, while feedback from organisations will be attributed to them.
Relevant feedback will help inform:
- the Draft NWWDP;
- refinement of the proposed methodology and Performance Indicators;
- the Strategic Environmental Assessment Environmental Report
The Draft NWWDP will be published in 2027 for an eight-week statutory public consultation. Following review of that feedback, the final NWWDP, SEA Statement, AA Determination and Consultation Report will be published in 2028. The Plan will then be reviewed periodically.
